When it comes to learning to play guitar, there are so many options available. It is very clear that the most convenient way to learn guitar is through a program rather than a tutor. While a tutor is great, sometime it is hard to fit it into the schedule. When it comes to guitar lesson programs, Learn and Master Guitar by Steve Krenz stands out above the rest.

Guitar sheet music is a little bit different than piano music. When learning guitar you will find that sheet music guitar is different than most instruments. You see, when you are playing a string family instrument, you usually don’t think in terms of notes.

I am not saying that an experienced and knowledgeable guitar player doesn’t know his (or her) sheet music as well as a Piano player. I just mean that beginner guitar is not learned the same. Most run of the mill guitar players can’t even tell you what note the clef is on anyway. Guitar sheet music is set up like the guitar is played. It indicates not what NOTES to play but what fret and string to finger. In this way your learn exactly how to PLAY the song not to READ the the song.

Guitar chord sheet music is a little bit more general than this. It is used mostly for accompaniment. You see, guitar chords sheet music doesn’t tell you exactly how to play the song. It will tell you what chords to play, but it won’t always tell you exactly what strumming pattern to use, how quickly to play them, or even sometimes what fingering to use. This is because this guitar sheet music is meant for accompaniment.

Guitar playing is great because the players get to determine how the song is played. Somethings like, the fingerings are fixed but the strumming and pattern is up to you, the player.

The History & Origins of Blues Guitar

The blues is a kind of music that can be vocal, instrumental (blues guitar) or both. It uses the ‘blue’ notes which are accomplished on a ‘minor pentatonic’ scale most of the time, otherwise recognised as the blues scale.

Blues music was generalised from the African-American communities in the U.S. out of job songs, spiritual songs, field hollers, chants, shouts and elementary ballads that rhymed. A lot of aspects of the blues comes from African culture

Most people are interested in knowing how they can learn guitar before learning it. First you have to dedicate yourself to learning about the instrument before you learn how to play it.

2. When people are sitting they must rest the body of the guitar on one of their legs depending on which hand they are, if they are right-handed, they should use their right leg, vice versa if they are left handed.

3. A person should focus in his fretting hand so he must place his hand where he has the nearest reach to the neck of the guitar especially when he is sitting. Remember to place the thumb of the fretting hand at the back of the neck of the guitar. The fingers should be in a curled position where they are placed above the strings of the guitar.

4. You should practice different types of picking to improve your picking ability. You shouldn’t worry about your speed that you play as you begin but more of your technique.

Playing guitar can prove to be much fun for people but they must remember to keep interested and dedicated to playing

There is an old lyric from a classic blues track that says, “the blues had a baby…and they called it rock n’ roll.”

Even Mozart uses this chord progression as well as many others from the classical period. Not only do blues guitar riffs and chord progressions gets played in modern music, but most guitar solos also have blues overtones in rock music as well as the other styles that I mentioned.
